8. Active Anti-rollover Control of Wired Chassis

Abstract

High centroid SUV vehicles are becoming more and more popular in the market. Due to their high centroid, such vehicles have higher rollover risk at the same speed as ordinary hatchback cars, and drivers often ignore this factor, which often leads to rollover accidents. The research shows that when the vehicle speed is not too high and the lateral acceleration is not very large, the active steering plays a good control role in the stability and handling of the vehicle, and can effectively improve the anti-rollover performance of the vehicle. However, when the vehicle speed is high and the lateral acceleration is large, the anti-rollover effect of the active steering system is becoming smaller and smaller.
